Surveys in the UK and Japan show consumers Prefer to unlock the iPhone 3.0 instead of purchasing a different smartphone.
San
Diego, California – July 9th 2009: Having to unlock iPhone 3.0 handsets
is a necessity for some, yet according to surveys carried out in Japan
and the UK, consumers would rather be unlocking iPhone models than
settling for a different smartphone. The BCN survey in Japan of 2300
stores and the v3.co.uk
survey of 1500 British readers both revealed that consumers were opting
to unlock iPhone 3GS so that they could use this favorite handset,
rather than choose an alternative that is compatible with other
networks.
The Apple iPhone is currently exclusive to the
AT&T network in the US, o2 in the UK and SoftBank in Japan. For
anyone living in remote areas unable to receive the relevant reception,
this means the handset is unusable. However, with the emergence of
software from companies such as iPhone Unlocking Solutions, consumers
can legally unlock iPhone 3GS handsets for use with other networks.
“People
try to give Apple Inc. custom, but can’t because they’re unable to
access the exclusive network” says iPhone Unlocking Solutions CEO
Michael Cera, “It’s crazy! They’re having great usability and cutting
edge iPhone apps dangled in their faces, which is quite unfair. This is
why we keep on top of developing software to unlock iPhone 3.0 and any
new iPhone handsets as soon as they’re released.”
iPhone
Unlocking solutions was established in 2005, when they began developing
the cell phone software that would soon gain them over 1.5 million
customers worldwide. Unlocking iPhone models has since become their
specialty and they have delivered a solution in time for every iPhone
update release.
Two surveys carries out in the UK and Japan
have indicated that consumers would prefer Apple’s leading iPhone, even
if they have to unlock iPhone 3.0 models for use , rather than purchase
a handset that is compatible with any network. Unlocking iPhone
handsets has gotten easier than ever, as companies such as US based
iPhone Unlocking solutions are offering software to make the iPhone
compatible with any provider.
