Dr. Daniel Goldberg, a laser eye surgeon and director of laser eye
surgery at the Atlantic Laser Vision Center has been named to the
2009-2010 Best Doctors in America. A peer review survey by thousands of
doctors determines which physicians are included. Since doctors cannot
buy listings in the directory, being selected is an exclusive honor for
medical professionals.

Dr. Daniel Goldberg specializes in
comprehensive refractive surgery including LASIK eye surgery and
refractive intraocular lens and cataract surgery. He was a member of
the elite team of doctors who performed clinical trials of LASIK in its
early stages. This research led to FDA approval of LASIK.

Dr
Goldberg has 25 years of experience in refractive surgery and has
performed over 10,000 LASIK surgery procedures. He recently became the
first New Jersey eye surgeon to use the implantable contact lens (ICL)
- a new technology to correct nearsightedness in individuals with
extremely high prescriptions.

In 2008, Dr Goldberg was also
recently honored by Castle Connolly Medical who presented him with
their annual ‘Top Doctor” award which recognizes him as one of the best
doctors in the field of Ophthalmology. Then, in April of 2008, Dr
Goldberg was again recognized at the inaugural training session for
Custom Vue Monovision in Chicago for helping to set the stage for the
FDA approval of LASIK monovision.

Dr Goldberg is constantly on
the forefront of groundbreaking technology and innovations in the field
of Ophthalmology. Currently Dr Goldberg is leading a worldwide study
testing the effectiveness of using 5% Betadine irrigation for the
treatment of acute EKC- a common, worldwide, highly contagious and
often severe form of conjunctivitis with the potential for long term
visual impairment due to corneal involvement. Ophthalmologists around
the world are invited to register to participate in the Betadine for
EKC study and can do so by visiting http://www.betadineforekc.com/submission-process.aspx.
