The Cash for Clunkers program is off to a tremendous start and BMW
of Orland Park wants Chicago buyers to know that there is still time to
trade in their current clunker for a new BMW. BMW of Orland Park has
several models that qualify for a CARS rebate including the 128i Coupe,
328i Sedan, 335d and X3 30i.

Chicago Cash for Clunkers car buyers
whose car averages a combined 18 MPG or less can qualify for a
government rebate off of the purchase of a new, more fuel efficient
vehicle. To qualify for the credit, the new car purchased must
outperform the clunker’s MPG by at least 4 MPG.

The
128i Coupe is a favorite among BMW sports car enthusiasts. The sleek
and aerodynamic styling allows the coupe to glide gracefully through
even the curviest of roads. The 128i averages an estimated 28 combined
MPG.

For those who prefer their luxury wrapped in a sedan, the
4 dour 328i is the answer. The 3 series is BMW’s top seller in the US.
The 328i is expected to earn a combined 23 MPG.

The 335d belongs
to the diesel family. BMW introduced diesel engines into their lineup
back in 1983. The 335d offers drivers acceleration from 0–62 mph in 6.2
seconds, an incredibly thrilling experience for any auto enthusiast.
Similarly, the BMW X5 xDrive35d rivals with acceleration speeds from
0–62 mph in just 7.2 seconds.

The BMW X3 is a compact luxury SUV.
The X3 offers many key SUV characteristics packaged into a smaller
sized vehicle. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety names the
2009 model a \"Top Safety Pick\" The X3 earns a combined 19.5 MPG.

In
addition to these models, BMW car buyers can also receive a tax credit
on diesel models. BMW of Orland Park will offer a credit on the X5
xDrive35d of $1,800 and a credit of $900 on the 335d. The savings are
further enhanced by the BMW Eco-Tax credit. Now through August 31, BMW
buyers are entitled to a $4,500 Eco Credit when they purchase a 335d or
an X5 xDrive35d - the most fuel-efficient vehicles in their class.

The
Cash for Clunkers program is not expected to last very long given the
limited funding for the bill. BMW of Orland Park encourages all
shoppers to quickly visit their dealership and test drive one of the
qualifying models that might best fit their needs.
